Personally, Friday is my favorite day of the college academic week. Even though classes are noticeably smaller for some reason (any grads out there would know why-kids, you'll find out soon enough), there is a more vibrant energy in the air as students prepare for the weekend...and most importantly GAMEDAY!
That's right, America, tomorrow the mighty Miami Hurricanes will take on the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats at noon! We are all getting excited because it will be the home opener for the 2012 football season AND the first ever live college football game for us college freshmen. So when I said on twitter that it was my first football game as a college student, scratch that. TOMORROW is the first official game without watch parties and television screens. TOMORROW we will sit in the student section for the first time, take buses to Sun Life Stadium, and watch the first football game of our college careers...exciting, right?
And Friday, the most glorious day of the week, will be spent preparing for this amazing weekend and perhaps a trip to Dadeland Mall??? I can't wait to do some "retail therapy" with the roomie and some friends tonight before dinner at the one and only Cheesecake Factory. The fact that I only have two classes on Friday and get to sleep in until 8:45 certainly gets me off to a good start for the day, combined with a cup of cereal and the Today Show.
