There's a First for Everything

College Football.  We grow up wearing our parents' school colors, sit in front of the television together, go to games, sing the cheers and songs, and at the end of the day it really doesn't matter who won because we had fun, right?  Well....except in those ever-important Bowl Games and National Championships.

Yesterday was my first college football game as a college student, and I have never seen such a thriller in my life.  I went with some floor mates to Buffalo Wild Wings at Sunset Place, where every television was projecting either the Florida Gators or Miami Hurricanes.  Every fan in the building was cheering for the Canes, both rooms!  Even when we were down by 14 early in the first quarter, all of the fans remained loyal and kept cheering.  Then, it was 14-14 in a minute, 17-14 by halftime, and then a grand final score of 41-30.  Wow.  That is a lot of touchdowns and field goals.  And a lot of screaming, cheering, and orange and green.  What an awesome way to start off the season...there is only one first college football game, and I could not have asked for a better one.  I personally cannot wait until the home game against Bethune-Cookman in two weeks because it will be my first one in Sun Life Stadium.

Congratulations to all of the teams that won yesterday, but remember that it is a long season and there are always more games to play and (hopefully!) win.  Have a great Sunday and an awesome Labor Day.  []_[] really deserve it!

Oh yeah, and if you are lucky, you meet famous people at games.  Look who showed up to ours: Lamar Miller, former UM Hurricane and current Miami Dolphins player!
